Does the Allan Carr stop smoking method work for quitting alcohol and weed as well?

Hi There and thanks for your question. It's tempting to believe that all one needs to do to cease addiction and additive behavior is to read a self help book and follow instructions. My experience is that when all we do is achieve abstinence from a substance, we tend to replace it with other addictions or behaviors.

I've worked in addictions for a lot of years and I had to Google Mr. Carr's program to find out what it is...if that tells you anything about how respected it is. "Quitting" cigarettes, weed, or alcohol is easy - it's the staying quit part that's hard and the changing your ife part that's much harder. I wish you well and I believe that AA & NA are hands down the most effective programs to not only achieve abstinence but to also change your life.
