About the Program

Using Suboxone or methadone, the treatment team works with patients to ensure a safe and comfortable detox and provides ongoing counseling, medication and support. At the Third Avenue Clinic, patients are in charge of their recovery. Together with their drug counselor, patients play an important role in deciding how much medication is needed and how long to continue taking methadone or Suboxone. When used as prescribed, these medications are safe, convenient and highly effective in treating opiate addiction. The Third Avenue Clinic is available to accept patients immediately and will work hand-in-hand with patients to understand their insurance coverage and set up suitable payment plans. The clinic serves the San Diego communities of Chula Vista, National City, San Ysidro, Imperial Beach and all surrounding areas. Located just seven miles from downtown San Diego, the city of Chula Vista is one of the richest economic and culturally diverse areas in the country.
