Using Suboxone or methadone, the treatment team works with patients to ensure a safe and comfortable detox and provides ongoing counseling, medication and support. At the Third Avenue Clinic, patients are in charge of their recovery. Together with their drug counselor, patients play an important role in deciding how much medication is needed and how long to continue taking methadone or Suboxone. When used as prescribed, these medications are safe, convenient and highly effective in treating opiate addiction.
