Was trying to do 90 meetings in 90 days when a stupid fall in the shower left me with a badly broken leg. I am not able to get out of the house and around town on my own and I have no one left to take me around to meetings. There is a booze delivery service I have used before when I had no wheels and I still have the number on my fridgerator. The situation is without those daily meetings I find it really hard to stay sober. And right now my throat is feeling really really dry. I am not sure if I am going to be able to stay the course this time. It’s like fate has it for me despite my really trying hard this time. I really want to stay sober I just know I probably am not going to. Can you help me stay sober in any way?

So glad you reached out! AA is an amazing organization and on top of everything else they have to offer, they also have emergency contacts nationally, regionally, and locally. Call 888-534-0192 (Toll-Free Alcoholics Anonymous Number) and they will get you in touch with someone locally who would be willing and able to get you to a meeting. The fellowship and all that AA has to offer is a vital support and I applaud you for expressing your needs. Most folks have no idea how much people in Recovery will do to support the growth and healing of another alcoholic. There are also online meetings and other resources - Google it - talk with good people about it and read the literature.

Hang in there and be blessed

Jim
