I know methadone is not really acceptable in NA. but what about naltrexone implants?

Hi there and thanks for your question. Nothing in the Narcotics Anonymous literature speaks to the use of Methadone or Suboxone much less implants. The only requirements for membership in NA and in AA are an earnest desire to stop using/drinking. It's frustrating to me how much this discussion tends to alienate folks in recovery and divide us into for and against camps.

How about do what works for you - respect the program - take what you need and leave the rest. No one has the right to judge you and if you're concerned with how your use of a medical treatment is viewed, I would suggest that you have the right to your privacy and to take everything good that the program has to offer.

Very best of luck to you and blessed be.
