Senior Federal Judge Pleads Guilty to Buying Cocaine for Stripper

Jack T. Camp lost his job on the bench and may spend as many as 4 years behind bars for his role in procuring a whack load of drugs for a stripper he was involved with.

Senior US Judge Jack T. Camp plead guilty in federal court yesterday to a felony and two misdemeanor drugs charges. As a part of his plea agreement he will step down from his seat on the bench and could face as much as 4 years in federal prison – to be determined prior to a sentencing scheduled for March.

Camp had met a dancer at a strip club last spring. He purchased a private dance from her and the next day returned to purchase sex and to use cocaine with the woman, a practice which continued over the months to come.

By the fall, the woman was cooperating with the FBI and the then judge was caught on the scene as the woman and the judge attempted to buy drugs from an undercover agent in October.

Camp was found to have 2 loaded pistols in his car at the time of the drug buy.

The woman was promised immunity from prosecution for her cooperation with the FBI. She apparently began secretly recording her interactions with the senior federal judge even before she began to work with law enforcement.

Camp was appointed to the federal court under Ronald Reagan in 1987.
