A Beverly Hills judge added another year of probation to Lohan’s DUI sentence after Lohan missed more than half of her assigned alcohol education classes and counseling sessions.

Lindsay Lohan spent 84 minutes in jail and received 3 years probation for her second DUI offense in August 2007. Three years have now become 4; after Beverly Hills judge Marsha Revel tacked on another year to the sentence for Lohan’s failure to comply with the stipulations of her probation agreement.

Lohan has attended just:

  • 15 out of 26 alcohol education classes
  • Half of the 26 assigned group sessions
  • 13 out of 28 assigned self help meetings

Lohan, who arrived an hour late to the court proceedings, had little to say in court. Her lawyer, speaking on her behalf, explained that the absences occurred as the actress traveled out of state and country for work obligations.

The judge told Lohan that frequent notices of non compliance had prompted her to call the supplemental probation hearing, adding, "I don't want to get any more notices again, no warrants ... where you're thumbing your nose at the court."

Her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, blamed miscommunications between the star and alcohol education program administrators for the problems. She said that Lohan had told the program staff that she would be leaving to work in Texas, but that there had been a miscommunication about her date of return.

Judge Revel reminded Lohan that she required court approval for any leave of absence from alcohol classes in excess of 21 days. Weighting her words, she warned Lohan that any future non compliance with the requirements of her probation agreement would result in the DA asking for jail time.
